What it Was and What it Is

"So, that did not go as expected, huh?

Well, it did and it didn't, but let me fill you in on the situation:

- 10:50 p.m. COL, @luisdo_ is creating a test build while the rest of the team is adjusting the Wwise sounds. The last details are being sorted out, and the game is 98% complete.

- 11:12 p.m., @luisdo_ states in the general chat of the Discord server of the team that the build failed due to Wwise errors. @pokecris200 and @juanpd tell us not to worry; it was because he didn't have the integration with Wwise.

- 11:40 p.m., the build is being made on @pokecris200's PC.

- 11:52 p.m., the build fails. Wwise is giving multiple errors... darn it. We decide to remove the sounds we didn't implement.

- 11:56 p.m., the second attempt fails due to Wwise errors. Oh no. We need to take action. I suggest reaching out to the mentors now.

@berserker1523 was in the first room we found, and we quickly joined the meeting. He was helping another guy with the registration. As soon as we explained our problem, he promptly assisted us, providing solutions and taking control of @pokecris200's PC. He then mentioned that we would need to delete all the sounds to create the build without Wwise issues. To do that, we needed to revert to an earlier version on GitHub, and he guided us through the process.

- 12:15 a.m. or was it 12:30? I don't remember; we were all exhausted. @berserker successfully created the build. We quickly uploaded the file to the itch.io page. Whew, that's a huge relief. We did it... well, not exactly. The game now feels empty to us and anyone who plays it. The music contributes 50% of the experience, and we removed it all. We failed to properly configure Wwise, which is such a powerful tool. @juanpd mastered it for creating the SFX and helping @camilo.berserk integrate the music. We are proud of what they achieved, successfully uploading the game to the jam. But something feels off; it's not the game we intended. It lacks some features and elements that make it unsatisfactory because we need to go back to an unfinished version on GitHub. We went from creating a game from start to finish, and now we'll make a post-jam build with the complete game we intended after fixing the Wwise integration.

It was a long day, and I'm heading to bed. You'll hear from me and the rest of the team as we head to Brazil. Bye!"
